The flag of Angola is comprised of red and black colors, also it features a golden emblem at the center. The symbols on the emblem are a five-pointed star, a half gear wheel and a machete. The red color signifies bloodshed during Angolan independence struggle, the black color symbolizes Africa, on the emblem, the gear symbolizes industrial workers, the star symbolizes socialism and the machete represents peasantry.
