经济和政治Politics and Economy:Cabo Verde is a stable, multi-party parliamentary democracy. Cabo Verde has relatively high levels of transparency and relatively low levels of corruption. Poor in natural resources, the Cabo Verde islands have won a reputation for achieving political and economic stability. Its main source of income comes from tourism, one of the main engines of growth and also from the money that people that live outside the country send, which brings in the much-needed foreign currency.

人民People

The overwhelming majority of the population of Cabo-Verde is of mixed European and African descent and is often referred to as mestizo or Crioulo.

通信与交通Transportation and telecommunications

The majority of roads in Cabo-Verde are paved, and there are no railways. Almost all the inhabited islands have airports. There is international air service to destinations such as Lisbon, Boston, Rome, Paris, Brazil, and points in Western Africa. Within the islands, regular ferries and planes provide local service. Telephone service in Cabo-Verde is generally good, and cellular telephones use is expanding. Compared with the regional average, the proportion of available personal computers relative to the population is quite high, and cybercafés can be found in larger towns and cities.

历史History

1960 - PAIGC-led liberation war begins against Portuguese rule in Guinea-Bissau, with many Cape Verdeans joining in.
1975 – Cabo-Verde becomes independent

佛得角的特色Food

Cape Verdean food is based on seafood, maize and some beans and meat. Here are some examples:

Grogue, also known as grogu or grogo, is a Cape Verdean alcoholic beverage, an aguardente made from sugarcane. Its production is fundamentally artisanal, and nearly all the sugarcane is used in the production of grogue. The cane is processed in a press known as a trapiche.
Grogue is the basis for a Cape Verdean cocktail known as ponche, which also includes lime and molasses, comparable to the ponche of the island of Madeira.
Grogue and sugarcane production are primarily found in Santo Antão Island (notably Ribeira do Paul and Ribeira da Cruz).
You also have Pontche and The famous coffee from Fogo Island

植物和动物Plant and animal life

On most of the larger islands, elevations are great enough to generate precipitation on the windward slopes; grasses and some pine plantations are found in these relatively moist locations. The scarcity of water limits the number of land turtles in the archipelago, but two species of sea turtles lay their eggs on the sandy shores of the uninhabited islets. There are many geckos and lizards and several species of skinks, including a rare and endangered giant skink. There are a number of species of butterflies, but none is endemic, and all the species are of African origin.
There are more than 100 known species of birds; Mammals of Cabo Verde include the feral goats found on Fogo, the descendants of domestic goats that were taken to the islands. The islands’ rodent population probably originated with rodents carried on early ships. Monkeys, introduced from the African continent, are also present on the islands. The long—eared bat is the only indigenous mammal.

运动 Sports

Cabo Verde is world renowned for the beautiful beaches, a formidable temperature throughout the year, it is not surprising that water sports are one of the strengths of this small country. The football and basketball teams have been playing at continental level, but it's also in gymnastics and boxing that they play in the sports world

音乐 Music

In a very brief way, it can be said that the music of Cape Verde results from European musical elements to which African musical elements overlap.
Its smallness does not interfere in anything in its cultural greatness, the music, one of the strongest points that the world already knew

风景 Landscapes

Pico do Fogo pronounced [ˈpiku du ˈfoɡu] is the highest peak of Cabo Verde, rising to 2,829 meters (9,281 ft.) above sea level. It is an active stratovolcano lying on the island of Fogo. The main cone last erupted in 1675, causing mass emigration from the island. A subsidiary vent erupted in 1995. The only deadly eruption was in 1847 when earthquakes killed several people.
The population of Chã das Caldeiras, totaling around 1,000 inhabitants, spent the night outside their homes due to the strong earthquakes, and started being evacuated when the eruption began. As in 1995, some people initially refused to abandon their homes, but eventually heeded the authorities' instructions.
The mountain's slopes are used to grow coffee, while its lava is used as building material. Near its peak is a caldera and a small village, Chã das Caldeiras, is inside this caldera.

MORABEZA

Morabeza is a word that characterizes being caboverdean, namely open spirit, welcoming, hospitable, relaxed, islander
Rest assured, we ought to be prepared
